Thoracic surgeons treat diseases of the chest including coronary artery disease; cancers of the lung, esophagus, and chest wall; abnormalities of the great vessels and heart valves; birth defects of the chest and heart; tumors in the organs contained in the chest cavity; and transplantation of the heart and lungs.

Bill B. Daily, Jr., M.D., Ph.D.

A cardiothoracic surgeon, Dr. Daily is a native of Oceanside, California. 

He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University and received his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from Washington University School of Medicine. He completed his general and cardiothoracic surgery residencies at Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Daily is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. In addition, he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and he is a member ofThe Society of Thoracic Surgeons.

He has earned numerous honors and awards including Phi Beta Kappa, the Howard A. McCordock Book Prize in Pathology, the Lange Medical Publications Book Award, Alpha Omega Alpha and the Samson F. Wennerman Prize in Surgery. Dr. Daily has been a frequent speaker and has authored numerous publications and articles in the field of cardiac surgery.

Dr. Daily is on the medical staff at St. Elizabeth's and Memorial Hospitals in Belleville, Illinois.

John D. Sadoff, MD

A Cardiothoracic Surgeon, Dr. Sadoff is a native of Ithaca, NY. 

He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University, and received his M.D. degree from Albany Medical College. He attended the UMDNJ, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for his General Surgery training and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for Cardiothoracic Surgical Fellowship training. 

Dr. Sadoff is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. In addition, he is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as a member of The Society of Thoracic Surgeons. He is also a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. He has received numerous honors including the Ralph D. Alley and Susan B. Deak awards for excellence in surgical research, and has done extensive research in heart and lung injury. Dr. Sadoff has authored numerous papers which have been published in many different peer review journals. 

He is on the medical staff at St. Elizabeth's and Memorial hospitals in Belleville, Illinois.
